Josh is a pastor ordained with the PAOC, a theologian, and an author. Prior to joining CLC in 2024, he was a professor at Master’s College and Seminary for 10 years, where he taught Bible and Theology and was the Director of the Worship and Creative Arts Ministry major.
He has a passion for teaching and preaching God’s Word, worship music, and equipping others to be all that God has called them to be. The things he’s especially excited about as lead pastor at Christian Life Centre, is the opportunity to serve, equip, and see others flourish in God’s call on their lives. He considers it a privilege to be able to serve others from so many different walks of life, vocationally, culturally, and spiritually.
Josh completed his Ph.D. in Theology at McMaster Divinity College in Hamilton; a ThM in Theology at Tyndale University; a MTS at Wycliffe College, the University of Toronto; a BA in Religious Studies at the University of Waterloo; and a Bachelor of Theology with a Pastoral Major at Master’s College and Seminary (formerly EPBC). He is the author of “The Holy Spirit in Worship Music, Preaching, and the Altar: Renewing Pentecostal Corporate Worship.” He also taught at Tyndale University in Toronto, Universidad Teológica Pentecostal in Cuba, Zion Bible College in Vijayawada, India, and pastored for five years at Malvern Christian Assembly in Toronto. He's also involved in the Society of Pentecostal Studies. You can find more about Josh's ministry through his podcast and YouTube channel at his personal ministry website, www.JoshSamuel.com.
Josh is especially grateful for family and loves spending time with them, his wife, Joyce, and two sons and daughter. They love checking out the latest worship music, trying out the newest restaurants and bakeries, and talking about all things related to the Toronto Raptors and the NBA. But at the end of the day, their hope is that their family glorifies God through their lives and ministry.
